ABOUT

Jenny Ridgway is a Sydney-based performar, conductor and music educator. She is a graduate of Sydney Conservatorium of Music with a Bachelor of Music Education. She has been studying conducting since 2017 with mentors both locally and internationally. Jenny has extensive experience with conducting ensembles from training band to tertiary-level students. She is involved in the local community of musicians in Sydney performing with a number of groups including; Regional Youth Orchestra, Northern Beaches Orchestra, Northern Beaches Wind Quintet, Northern Sydney Symphonic Wind Ensemble, Northern Beaches Symphonic Youth Band and Sydney Conservatorium Flute Ensemble. Through performance and conducting Jenny has engaged with providing music education for students aged between 7 and 85 years old. She is passionate about teaching from both the podium and the private studio. From 2022 her aims are to bring these skills into the classroom.
