Composition Starter Activity for Stage 6 (take 2)

Activity 2 - Brainstorm Concept/ Mood

-Create a musical collage of the pieces you know that relate to the chosen mood/emotion or environment.

-Find between 3 and 6 pieces, use artwork, images, quotes, video or any other media in the collage that relates to your chosen mood. Use google slides to share work with the teacher (and to embed video in).

-Extension task: students may use multiple slides to plan changes between ideas to develop structure for their composition.

-For each piece, take notes of what compositional devices are used that relate to the mood/emotion or environment you have chosen.

-List these compositional devices and any other notable ones on the worksheet provided.
