Jenny Has A Go At Composition #4

I wrote this melody influenced by the higher synths in Other Side of Paradise (on brainstorm slide) and the Violin part in Dancing on Clouds. I wanted to use short ideas with rests to create a thin texture over the Violin II ostinato. At the start of each melodic fragment the contour is ascending to create a light and uplifting mood. I then repeated the melody in the Cello part to contrast with the colour of the Violin.
